Diabetes is a challenge that can affect children when they are young, or as they get older. When a child is overweight they are more at risk for type 2 diabetes. The good news is that if you can help your children challenge their eating habits and the way they look at food, you can help them lose weight quickly.

What most parents don't know is that they have created their obese child by making them eat everything on their plate and feeding fatty and processed foods. Instead of going to a nice sit down restaurant that serves health foods, most children end up at McDonald's. Between McDonald's and the food that is served in most school cafeteria's kids can't help but gain weight.
